In Which year was the Chronometer first successfully sea-trialled?

    If this question relates to the history of the so-called Longitude Act,
    according to the excellent book by Dava Sobel ('Longitude') the H4 model chronometer was successfully tested in 1762. However, the prize money for the chronometer was rewarded only much later. Read the book, it is fun and thrilling!
