  • Personally I don't think its alright to show such things in movies, therefore I do not look at such things. I believe its wrong but not to the point of censorship (as long as its fantasy, if it is real then the person running the camera should be prosecuted as an accomplice IMO). That is promotes abusing women is a possible argument, however, that assumes people are incapable of separating fantasy from reality. Though I find it disgusting (having had one good friend who had been raped), if it is not real I cannot say it should be banned. As to why you see women being raped, etc. in various forms of media but rarely see the same with men, IMO it is simply the reality as I see it that there are more men who 'get off' on that sort of thing than there are women that find it arousing so the market is larger. I could be wrong but thats just my two cents.
  • I don't think anyone being raped is "alright to show" but that is what the idiots in Hollywood and the entertainment industry put out and sadly rape happens so it is a part of life. Men would protest if there was a film that depicted a man being abused sexually or raped. Can you imagine a guy being forced to fellate another guy with a gun to his head...the outcry you would hear.
