It seems that JSP has the most features. Is it better than PHP and why?

It is more a matter of taste than if fact. Java is a strongly-typed compiled language; PHP is a weakly-typed interpreted language. In the abstract I prefer Java to PHP, but the way it is exploited in JSP I find confusing and unpleasant. Therefore I would prefer Java Servlets to PHP, and PHP to JSP.
