Had a Colonoscopy yesterday a.m. I have pain and bloating (but no gas) not only in my stomach but up past my ribs. It was as severe today so I went back to the Dr. and he gave me a rectal and drew out some gas, No better after. Suggestions to rid my gas?

A gas like carbon dioxide is used to inflate the colon so the dr. can see in there. It is common for the gas to rise up through the intestines. You aren't passing the gas but you do have gas. Drinking hot liquids, walking,Maalox or Mylanta should help. Physical activity speeds up the circulation and intestinal motility and should help you start passing the gas.
