  • I like Tarantino films, and I did see that one. That was a bit much in the beginning and throughout. It all came together at the very end. Not much else I can say without giving the story away to the folks that haven't seen it.
  • One of the worst films of all time. The first 30 minutes are filled with ridiculously attractive topless european women, and I still think it's one of the worst films of all time. I make my friend who drug me to see it, apologize to this day for robbing me of those two hours. If everyone even remotely associated with that film were brutally tortured like the characters in the movie, it wouldn't come close to satisfying my anger/dislike for the film. I hope awful things happen to Eli Roth. Was that clear? I didn't want to leave any doubt. :)
  • I like it. The concept is original for a horror film, plus there's plenty of guts and gore as well as tension and a good attempt at fear factor. Basically, like Saw, the whole of this film doesn't go much farther than beyond its intent to showcase several different kinds of ways to kill people, but it's great for what it is if you just want death. Maybe too many long dragging scenes though, where you're supposed to get to know the characters and care. For the most part it doesn't work, but they DO have interesting personalities, although that goes more for the villains than the generic cast we have. Too bad it doesn't evolve much further than this, however the second movie is even better than this, and when you think it's just a rehash of the first, it throws in these wicked plot twists.
  • it was the worst movie ever. it had no story to it. if you are looking to watch a violent porno i would reccomend it to you, but otherwise it is so not worth it
  • This particular style is new to Hollywood but not new in Asian Extreme Cinema which I have noticed has inspired scenes in several Tarantino films. I generally like his films; however, this was an uncreative reproduction of one of the Asian Extreme styles that didn't live up to its predecessors.
  • I didn't care for it. I found the plot extremely run of the mill and felt like the torture for torture's sake was gratuitous violence with no purpose. I am not opposed to gory content; however, I don't think gore should replace plot, dimensional characters, and overall film techniques.
