  • 23. I am now 29
  • Im not married but my parents got married at 18 and where together for 3 years before that.. they are still together 25 years later. Most are not that lucky.. sad but true
  • I was 23. She was 19. Too young. But we have made it work. Don't be afraid of it, but make certain you are marrying a good person. Make certain you have the same values. Talk very clearly and openly about what you believe, what you want, and what makes you happy. If it is not a fit, don't get married. Religion (or lack thereof), finances, child rearing, hobbies...get them all out on the table and make sure you are compatible. We have been married 13 years and still going strong. I love being married.
  • Well, I can tell you my experience...I was married at the age of 22 (a very immature 22, at that) and we divorced 9 years later. My ex wife and I remain friends (we have 2 wonderful daughters)...but we most definitely can not be married to each other.
  • Its because everyone gets married so early. They either have sex and get pregnant, being forced into marriage, or just assume that the person they are dating is their true love, even if only after a few weeks - few months, when they dont really know that person, its just infatuation.
  • I was 20, my wife 18, (and we're still together 28 years later). But, there were some rough patches that (I'm sure) everyone goes thru. As long as you love each other, you can work thru almost anything.
  • I got married when I was 26 and I'm still happily married 16 years later.
  • Thank you all. ~ Maybe what I have to do is to find the right person. :)
  • married at 19. Divorced at 29
