Help answer this question below.
If I'm on my own I fasten it at the front and turn it round.
If I'm doing it in front of someone I usuually reach round the back- it looks a bit more elegant!
I always fasten it in the back. I've never heard of this front way. Apparently my bra fastening skills are behind.
Why is this for the ladies? Don't you want to know how I fasten my bra?
Edit:
I am much better at UNFASTENING bras than I am at fastening them!
i useally just keep it fastened and then put it over my head it's much faster.
Arms round back.
Front of course!.
At the front, and then I twist it round the back. Icouldn't possibly coordinate fastening it round the back at 7am, which is usually the time I get dressed.
At the front, turn it round. I'm way too lazy to go the back way!
This is kind of a TMI question.
Front and spin. If I tried to reach around and do it I would dislocate my shoulder.
i reach around the back.
well when you have melons like mine.. tying to the front is easiest ..hope this really HELPS LIKE ?
I fasten mine around back.
My friend fastens hers up front, then turns it around, and pulls each arm through... I see that way as being much more difficult.
To be honest, until I saw my friend put hers on that way, I just assumed everyone did it the way that I did! After reading these answers, I am very surprised at the amount of people who fasten it in front. I never knew!
well its easier to fasten it from the front
When you wear an -A cup it doesn't even matter if you wear a bra! But in those instances where the PTA or other important ventures are taken I do both depending on whether I have an hour to get ready or 5 minutes. But I am digging on that whole keep it fastened and over the head thing, I'm gonna try it.
I fasten mine at the front inside out on my belly and then twist and flick it up over my boobs. I also occasionally get it inside out because I have no coordination! Anyone else have this problem?
I have to clip in front and spin to the back and i still get something twisted and have to start over
if i'm busy front, but most of the time the back
All mine fasten in the back. If I need to fasten after it is on, I generally reach around back.
However, I have a couple of nice comfy casual bras I just always fastened and I just pull them on over my head like I would a T-shirt.
I either put it on already fasened or I fasten it in the front. I cant clip it when the clasp is on my back
I reach around the back
unless its a new difficult bra
From the back
Fasten it at the front then turn it around. I just can't get the little clippies into the right spots if I reach around my back.
Does anybody actually fasten it at the front then turn it around?! God, I've never heard that one before.
I fasten it at the back, it's like second nature or something.
Reach around my back.
Fasten it first then put legs through it and pull it up where it belongs.
Front most of the time and turnit.
Hey, what about the men that like to be in touch with there more feminine side? I turn it the bra around normaly but sometimes I do a reach around?
Ummm, I usually have my husband do it for me. That's in the back.
I fasten in front and turn it around, unless it is a front closing kind.
I tried not doing it at the front then pull it round, nearly $%£$£ up my wrists!! Now I do it from the front.
Around back .. I dont think I have ever put it on anyother way.
i never wear a bra. i'm really small and don't really need one. i used to, until i realized "what's the point"? gave up and stopped wearing them. but when i did, in the back.
I fasten it in the front of my belly, and then turn it around, and take it up over my arms...=)
in front then turn around
fasten at the front then twist around, so much more easier, doing it from the back is too much effort and concentration :P

Ladies, what about your thoughts on those spandix bra-tops? no fastening at all but they look like pain in the bu_ to put on.
I mainly reach around to the back
Sometimes I fasten my bra in the back or sometimes I turn it around to the front.
fasten at the front then turn it around.
I am really surprised at the amount of answers my question has received.
It started off with a conversation at work when I found out that some people fasten their bras with their arms around their back, and I was really surprised because this is physically impossible for me to do without dislocating my shoulders.
The results are (for anyone that is still interested):
FRONT - 12
BACK - 7
OTHER - 3
When I first started wearing a bra I had to fasten it in front and turn it around, now I'm more experienced with it so I can reach around my back.
im pleased for you all im still in a flipping training bra lol which has no straps!
My mother always fastened her bra in the front and spun it around, bent foward slightly and pulled up the straps. She said it was important to lean forward so that the breasts hung into the cups. She did not have pendulous breasts, so I guess she used the word "hung" for lack of a better word. I never dressed and undressed around other women (I am shy and always undressed "in private") so I did not realize that women reached behind their backs to close their bras. Only recently a friend and I were talking about some really comfortable bras I found on sale and I was encouraging her to get a couple because I had already tried them and they were super. Since she is a similar size to me I though she would also find them comfortable. When I told her that they were a front closure style she said, "Good, I'm having trouble reaching back on bad days. I was surprised, and told her now my mother and I fastened our bras. She was surprised. She too had never watched other women dress and undress, so she had been doing what I admit seems logical, and what I might have done myself had I not seen my mother putting on her bras.
why exactly is this question in the arts section?
Around the back,
I find it much easier that way.
I do my bra up in a completly different way than i've ever seen any one else do up theirs. Everyone else I know puts their arms trough then fastens at the back.
I fasten at the back then put my arms through, I have no idea how i learnt to do it that way!
I think most of them reach around the back
reach around

I've never really thought about it to be honest. I guess its just easier to see what you're doing if you do it at the front.
