The #1 benefit of being a born-again Christian is that you get to go to heaven.

The Bible says that if there is no resurrection, then Christians are the most miserable people on earth. That no longer seems to be the case, however, since in many countries that are or at least were Christian you have a better life than in countries that have never been Christianized. The greatest benefits seem to come to women. The condition of women (or of people generally) in places that have never been Christian is far, far lower than in places that have. The status of women in Islamic countries is extremely low; documentation of this is overwhelming and is all over the net.
