Yes. I had a neighbor who would give us Swiss chocolate when we were young. I also tried candy and chocolate when I visited London. A co-worker let me try some Cambodian candy once, a little sour. Another co-worker gave me some Italian licorice, very strong.
-
I have and like alot of differant kinds but you can have some of the hardcandy from Mexico and Asia
-
Indian sweets are really interesting! I love Hershey bars and Oreos. I rarely eat them though, I like to maintain a balanced diet. And I have a long abiding passion for Froot Loops, which I used to eat in Australia as a child, whenever I have friends from the states come to stay for a while they bring me a box, bless them :)

belgian chocolate is the best, ohhh and my favorite italian baci chocolate. tried mexican candy didnt like it
-
I have tried real Swiss chocolate in Switzerland, and it made Toblerone chocolate taste terrible, let alone Cadbury chocolates.
-
There are these AMAZING biscuits from Switzerland a family friend used to send us. Haven't eaten one since I was a child. Family fought over each one like mad, they were HEAVEN, pure paradise. I would go to Switzerland for a holiday if I had the money just to hunt down those things.
-
Yes, my Mother brought home chocolate from Switzerland.
-
Yes. I love French, Swiss, and Belgian chocolate. I do not love Japanese and Korean candy/chocolate. (Yuck!) I love most Japanese and Korean food, but the chocolate just ain't right to me. I like Mexican HOT chocolate... you get a really interesting twist with the cinnamon.
-
love my mexican candies, some kinda chocolate maybe from belgium or switzerland idr, but i don't do licorice from any country i've decided...and uh yea :)
-
i was just in 6 countries in europe, so i ate alot of it! plus ive had candy coated larva (i beleive it's indian)
-
I lived in Europe for about 16 years. The Swiss chocolate is my favorite. Belgian is too buttery to me. The Italians have the best ice cream by far, but there was this Moroccan place in Paris once... oh, and their mint tea was like liquid candy and hotter than the sun too. French pastries are to die for. I like some Cadbury products so the Brits do make a showing. My wife exposed me to all kinds of Asian candies and desserts too. Japanese candy is cool.

A bit off topic here mate, I apologise.. this ones for roselynn. Here's an upstanding scouser with a pretty fair example of British accent ;)
-
Yes, most of it is less sugary than American candy.
-
Sorry Jesscake, mis-post :)

I've tried Mexican candies and snacks before. I love my Asian snacks, and I've tried Swiss chocolate.
-
Ive had American , French, German, Italian. Belgian,Swiss, Australian, Japanese that I can think of they all have different tastes to British choccies/sweets. I think most people alwyas find the stuff they grew up with is what they like best (comfort food maybe)
-
All the time
-
Yes, certainly have. When in England, I tried many goodies from Belgian (their chocolate is heavenly), Switzerland, France, the USA, and elsewhere, and was always the look-out for something new.
-
Swiss and Belgian chocolate is lovely. German chocolate is ok. English chocolate is by far the greatest pleasure to have in the universe :)
-
We just had visitors from overseas who bought liqueur chocolates with them which were much more alcoholic than ours. Felt like drink and food in one! Also was sent Turkish delight from Turkey - really beautiful.
-

On a business trip some years ago I stopped at an Asian store to get a snack. Nobody spoke a word of English. At the checkout stand I saw a stack of 'impulse items' that looked like candy, but I couldn't read the labels. I pointed at a brightly-colored little box and asked the cashier and others standing in line; they just shrugged and looked inscrutable. [Sorry!] I bought the little box b/c the label looked tasty, but I decided to put off munching on the candy until I could run it by someone bilingual. Back at the motel I showed it to an Asian coworker, who assured me that it was rat poison. I still get nervous when I think about it. It really did look like candy. Now I understand why kids like to sample the goodies they find under the sink. :(

Oh, ABSOLUTELY! The best part about being in a foreign country is meeting the people and eating the food.
