  • less guilt and fear and you can sleep in on Sunday and still get all the good holidays. A pretty sweet deal. Oh, and lots and lots of masturbation.
  • You won't know for sure till you're dead! :)
  • If you're right, absolute nothing. If you're wrong, eternal damnation, probably.
  • none that i can tell!
  • I guess nothing. Just like the reverse..What are the consequences of believing in GOD? No one knows.
  • Burning in hell.
  • Relief. Freedom from certain superstitions. The added pressure of actually being responsible for your own actions... Even worse though - what are the consequences for believing in the wrong god? What if the Jews were right? Or the muslims, zoroastrians, buddhists, hindus, pagans, wiccans? What if the only people that got it right were the ancient egyptians, and everyone else has strayed from the true path?
  • Not something I wanna find out yo...
  • It depends on each person, some non believers are quite at ease about it and others have a constant fear of death. Regards.
  • If I don't subscribe to a belief in God or any deity, then any good fortune or misfortune that befalls me, I wouldn't therefore correllate as a consequence for any 'lack of belief'. or something like that....

  • A pictures paints a thousand words!
  • Theoretically an eternity of Hellfire or rebirth as a tapeworm. But if you don't believe in God anyway, why worry? It's only religious people that need to fret over not believing in God.
  • The ability to think for yourself.
  • no blame but u
  • Ummm...none except that you can do your own thinking and don't have to live in fear of things that don't exist
  • Which God? Other than the number of people persistently trying to convert you, there are no consequences. There are, however, benefits. The benefits depend upon belief in which deity and which religion you are comparing to nonbelief.
  • Your mind will open and you will save both time and money.
  • An open mind and being able to live your life to the fullest, making you more happy and your friends and family happy as well.
  • Burning in a lake of fire for all eternity no biggee I guess.

  • oh it's really great not believing in god and all the bullshit that goes along with it, and by the way, all the morons that say believe in him "just in case", you guys should really consider strapping bombs to yourselves and blowing up a few buildings for allah "just in case" you wont go to heaven and get all those virgins. come on. a lot of people ( millions)believe that in the world, "just in case" theyre right you should really consider it. hey it's your logic, i'm just telling you to use it on an example that's not christianity. note to stupid people- I'm not suggesting anyone blow up anything, just making a point.
  • A life that does not attained to all the wonderfull thing God wants for you. It is a choice to live or to die, eternal death or eternal life. Chris says I'am the resurrection and the life not comes to the Father but by me... "He that believe it im me has life". Choose life and enjoy life.
  • More time and money to live the only life we have.
  • Consequences implies some negative reaction just as "benefit" implies positive ones. So, keeping with that - there are absolutely no consequences in not believing in any god(s)or other imaginary/ mythical beings. +5
  • The Bible say hell.
  • You get hassled by those who do
  • Thinking for yourself, relying on yourself, determining your own goals, freedom from self sacrifice.
  • Being on the business end of a lot of entertaining arguments, for one.
  • Fear of death.
  • nothing because i dont believe in god. So if i dont't believe in say heaven then why would i think i am going to hell. I live my life for me (i'm currently a college student) and hope to have a family of my own one day. My belief in God is completely unrelated to that goal.
  • In the long term : I don't know yet, I'll find out when I die. In the short term : I get the lecture from the one who believe. (it is very annoying)
  • The question would be better phrased; what are the consequences for too much belief in god? If you believe in god and that helps you treat your neighbors and family well and fairly, fine. If however you live your life constantly thinking of and fearing god, and ignoring all worldly considerations, your life is wasted. There are only two rules necessary, treat you neighbor like you want to be treated, the second and more difficult is "do no harm". Belief in god is immaterial and unnecessary if the above rule are followed. The consequences for following those rules are almost always good, whether god is watching or not.
  • Who decides if there are any consequences? You still listening to people who think they have all the answers?
  • Eddy G didn't like my first answer when I tried to paraphrase the question so that it made sense. My answer is that you get the weekend free. You can use science to understand the world and people that disagree don't burn you as a heritic. I live my life with the goal of god never nowing who I am because if you're good, your tested, if your bad your punished. I told this to a preacher and said that if there's a meeting with god and someone mentions your name, he says who? From what I read, if you get his attention, you're toast.
  • You get to debate!
  • Going to Hell is one of them.
