I had a copy of AVG on my Windows Vista system. I removed it via the remove program icon in the all programs list. Now I am trying to install Mccafee, but it wont instal due to some remenant of AVG on my computer. Can anyone tell me how to smoke out th

I am using free AVG 8.5. I get a note that my resident sheild is not active. I tried to reactvate it and it does work. I tried to remove Avg and it does not work also. Warning message: Error action failes for creating backup.

You're reading Does AVG interfere with video and audio on the internet? When I try to play a video it keeps buffering and stalling with audio and video and wont play. Please help? If not do you have any other suggestions?

Yeah, AVG was doing everything right, until the link scanner. I too recommend disabling this plugin, except for web users who take ginormous risks online.

Yep yep, I too was/am an AVG fan. The link scanner is a bit much though. Thanks for the added weight of opinion.
