Exactly.
i do think it has to do with how you've been brought up (racially)and possibly (my own thoughts)what your parents skin colours are, don't forget that humans have the nature of copying others around them. may be?
I have to respectfully disagree. Sure humans have the nature of copying others around them and I agree that how you've been brought up is a factor, and even "your parents skin colours" to a point. But to say that, undermines a persons ability to make decisions on their own and on how they truly feel based on the conscience, and it doesn't really explain the truth behind the question.

If you are stating the total truth, and nothing but the truth. I respect that. However, I am a very cynical person. Very, very cynical. But, I will give you the benefit of doubt, and say you are real.
But, in reality... Majority of people date, and have sex outside their race for only sexual, stereotypical reasons. It is sad, but it is how the world turns. The black man myth of them having larger members, and the white female being the goddess of sex. And a number of females desiring large members. Then there are many other reasons. You know some, you have surely been around a number of inter-racial couples, have heard the reasons. You cannot sit there and tell us, they were ALL moral, and noble reasons. That would be ludicrous, and lies.
Thank you for your comment.
Personally I never liked being placed into a box. Perhaps that is a reason why I have dated in different colors and cultures. In my original response when I say I dated the people not the color... I perhaps should have also stated that these dating periods were long relationships that each lasted 3 to 6 years. I do not look at people and just see the outside. I look hard to find the inside beauty (or uglyness whichever is the case) Answer 3 out of 74 by lyndas9254 on Mar 5, 2009 at 12:35 pm Permalink

Hello there... First off, it really all depends on where you live. Second, is it possible that you are the type of person, when you go out, you don't look around you a lot, and observe other much???? I have a good friend like that. Not notice a Midget eating lunch with a Martian sitting in the table beside him. Seriously...and his vision is great. He just don't pay any attention to anything, why??? Because he is in his own little world. I find that cool, and I respect that.
But, where I live, and for what I do (I drive a Taxi cab), I see it a lot of inter-racial couples. And, I have spoken to a ton of the couples, and mind you, the answers, and reasons they date, are very narrow, and stereotypical. Chew on that for a while. It is called reality. Hence my I.D., which for some reason is not coming up here... Mr.Reality711.

Aww, what a sweet story!!

I like your answer.. Why? Because you were straight up, and did not try fool anyone with a B.S. answer. I drive a taxi, at night. So, I have met a number of European females. You, and a large number of people...Especially women from all over are attracted to people that are "different". My sister dated a filipino back in high school (like back in 1987), was bragging about it, and a number of the other girls in the school were insanely jealous of her.
It was so obvious as to why so many gals liked him... He was different. Most people who knew him, liked him a lot, although, he was not special in any way. He was from a different country, with darker shade of skin. It is obvious that most women will date, and have sex with a man of different race mainly because he maybe "different". Next, it is sad you have ran into so many "immature" white men. HOWEVER, you have to say something childish, and immature like "not to forget the black man myth". Really, that ruins your story. dude, im sayin songs that are talking about getting with a 'DIMEPEICE' with nice bodies and such. So if your dating a black guy its basically saying your a dime peice with a nice body and such. Thats what I was narrowing it down too, ya know?
Ok, now I get it. I still don't necessarily agree. Dating a Black guy doesn't prove how nice you may look. I know many Blacks guys who have dated or ate girls who arent attractive by most peoples standards (in most cases the girl had a personality). Dating a white, asian, black, hispanic, or "other" proves nothing about you as a person. Also, typically in these songs where they talk about girls being a "dime", they are generally over-sexualize her making her seem more like an object. These songs typically (and sometimes artist) lack *respect* for the women that they are "fawning" over.
That is very true, but then again the people who listen to these songs don't really think.
