There are users who believe that congratulatory questions are not questions at all. Therefore, they view answers to such questions as non-answers too.

I don't know but i find it to be a bit rude.

Some people think that congrats questions (answers too, I guess) are a waste of Answerbag's space and time and get in the way of real questions. These people are suffering under the delusion that Answerbag actually has a practical application. Do not become angry at them, but pity them, for they know not what they do.

Some miserable people hate to see others happy. And then there are those that think those kinds of questions are just "point-whoring." I have posted a few of those questions, and actually been of that. There ARE people who do do that for points, and people who even post questions that are obviously begging for points. I post/answer Congrats questions because I think it's something nice to do for my friends!

Maybe they never got a congratulations and are jealous or maybe they are having a bad day..
