  • Thanks VERY MUCH for asking your Q! Your Q REALLY struck a chord with a few sour notes! Garbage about any celebrity or star who doesn't have anything to contribute to the well-being and psyche of the country he or she lives in and the world, other than display how immature he or she is. It annoys me when I see how much ink and valuable time is wasted on that slop and on the poor choices and behavior some of those people make. AND the press awards them for doing it! How do they get awarded? When one of their names appears with a little story about how they misbehaved and the not-very-intelligent things they do, sales of the products they endorse seem to take-off - putting MORE money in their pockets to do MORE garbage! While I have this forum, I might as well add this as well: Local and international news on any network is basically THE SAME: THE SAME stories at almost the same time and the way the networks and news programs beat those same stories to death for days on end! Journalists and news people get paid a phenomenal amount of money to produce and write stories of interest. They take the path of least resistance. A few do the work of many. AND the many STILL get paid those amazing salaries! Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it! VTY, Ron Berue Yes, that is my real last name! Sources: Because you asked. My observations and personal opinions.
  • Sorry to use another answer. My "Comment" wouldn't post. I'm glad there are AT LEAST two of us in this country who didn't have "the wool pulled over our eyes!" It's the same here in the Philadelphia, PA area. What the devil does some idiot on the west coast or in another country have to do with the important news in our respective areas? I never was able to figure out that aspect of the news. It's easier to sit in back of a compute and surf the web for stories about high profile characters, than it is to go out and get the local stories of human interest! The saying used to be "If it bleeds, it leads." Today it's what ever is hot on the internet is what we'll jam down the viewers' throats. I just keep using the remote for better programming, turn the page or continue doing what I do on the computer. Thank you for the kind words! I do my best to provide helpful answers. I'm very happy you awarded those points! Thanks for boosting my spirit! You REALLY helped to make my day much better! :-) :-) :-) :-) Very Truly Yours, Ron Berue :-) :-) :-) :-)
  • I don't like posting multiple answers when comments should do. BUT this comment wouldn't post. 7-24-08: Hi ChandaDiane! Heads-up on THAT ONE! We don't get that too much. BUT I WILL tell you what happenbs on the one hour programs: Here, in Philadelphia, ALL THE MEATY parts of the news happen or are related between :40 minutres after the news starts to 50 minutes after the news starts. It's the same with many of the TV series. When it's 10 PM and the ne or a program comes on, THE FEATURE story or "jhook" or "THE PLOT" is revealed between 10:40 to 10:50 PM. Oprah does the exact same thing. She is more predictable. Her "zinger" is 45 minues into the program. Not too many folks noticed or know this. THE ONLY exception is "America's Got Talent". THE BEST act is ALWAYS in the last 5 minutes of the program. Very Truly Yors, Ron Berue
  • Yeah, id have to go with Hollywood. Sometimes theres a 5 minute story about how certain stars are getting married, or certain stars said the f-word on camera. Im sure there are plenty of other people who are getting married you could interview, who arent getting divorced within a week.
