  • I remember when I was young and I would read Batman comics he wasn`t a superhero as such, he was more of a detective. The commissioner would call up Batman for his capabilities to solve crimes and riddles more than anything else. He was just a suped up detective, he even carried a gun in some comics. I guess he eventually evolved into a superhero as that is what people wanted to read about.
  • No, a super hero just needs to be a hero. Green Arrow, Hawkeye, Black Cat, Nightwing, and Oracle come to mind as examples of some more without superpowers who fight crime. (Uggh. I am such a geek-girl for knowing all of those. Darn that comic-book-collecting-ex-boyfriend). LOL.
  • I believe power are not necessary... nor is being a "hero" Look at the Punisher. Not only is he physically 'normal' like Batman, he lacks even Batty's super bank balance. THERE is a SUPER hero!
