Why is my tongue piercing still swollen 2 1/2 weeks later? It is less swollen than before, but the swelling has definately not gone down enough for me to have the bar changed. I don't think it is infected, there is no pain or pus and I clean it regularly.

piercings are diffrent for every one and if it's your first piercing the swelling may take longer to go down. it can take to around 4 weeks or more so give it time it will get thare.

lucia's right, you just may be a swelly person. Try talking less, moving it less in general, and drinking more water. If it's not better in a few weeks see your piercer, and if there's other symptoms sooner see a doctor.

Each person is different. my tongue was done swelling about 4 days later. I would go to your piercer if you have any questions. and stay away from spicy food. Ate some tonight my tongue did not like it, it swelled a little bit. take asprins its the best to help with swelling
