M249 Squad Automatic Weapon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M249_Squad_Automatic_Weapon I love that weapon. It fires the same rounds as an M-16 and can accept M-16 magazines in a pinch. As fast as you can say, "I need a burst of six," it fires off 6 rounds. It's very light and easy to operate.

H&K 5.5

actually, i'm changing my answer to the Mk. 15 Phalanx CIWS. fires up to 4,500 20mm rounds per minute. the gun has it's own radar and can track targets.

What kind of sicko has a favorite machine gun??? Tanks, now...! ;)
-
It's not the M-60, what a hunk of junk compared to the MAG/M-240. The FN Mag/M-240 is nice. The Ma Duce M-2 is great. Those 2 are the best true machine guns. The Russian PKM is awesome too. Here is a good web site for weapons: http://world.guns.ru/main-e.htm

Just kidding man...lighten up. I DR'd ya because you are like wrong!!!!!!!!! While you are at the personality store buy a sense of humor and a book about weapons. All you have to do is look this stuff up on the internet. You get a DR because you did not bother and you are completely wrong. You should thank me for educating you.

When I was younger I would've said M-16, but by the time I got to basic they were introducing the M-16 A2. No full auto feature, only 3 shot burst at most. Now I'd have to go with either the M-3 grease gun or maybe a micro-uzi, if the latter is still even considered a machine gun.

Under the nose of the Comanche Helicopter is a 20 mm. gatling gun that fires heavy duty depleted uranium bullets with both a high accuracy and a high rate of fire. __________ my second favourite is in this video ... .
-
The machine gun from halo.
-
The big 50,thank you very much;)
-
The old school Gatling gun. Just wheel one of those bad boys up to somebody then crank away like a mad organ grinder. I guarantee you'll really ruin their day.
-
the gun in the A10 definatly
-
The M2 .50 cal. is a great weapon to fire, I love shooting it but hate cleaning the thing. The M249 is fantastic for everyday carry and use (I carried one for 6 months in Bosnia), its accuracy is great, and its light enough not to break your back with easy to clear malfunctions when it does malfunction.
-
30 mm that is found on the apache helicopter
-
this one
-
m249
-
I'm liking the Ultimax 100.
-
I gotta go with the classics here; Ma Deuce. Big bullets, nice accuracy, and a design so solid we still use it HOW many years after it first came out? If the M2 wasn't an awesome gun, we would've started using something better over 50 years ago.

The SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon - M249B) It was my assigned weapon for years.

The french FAMAs G1 same power as a machine gun but reduced size
-
I like the old fashion Tommy Gun or Thompson Gun of the days of Al Capone
-
It HAS to be the MK.48 because its speed to recoil ratio is just awesome and looks great too.
-
Ma Deuce. I was the .50cal gunner for my unit back in the day.
-
M240G mobility and power all in one
