Is my observation that the people on answerbag are smarter than the rest of society true?

I would not imagine that is true. There is a very large cross section of people here pretty much like any other spectrum of society. We just tend to be here to to exchange ideas and views.

generally the sort of people that join forums/websights such as answerbag feel they can contribute answers/experience. therefor i think sights of this nature attract a more intellectual crowd than others. or perhaps it is because people consider what they are saying more due to the fact that it is advice that could affect some peoples lives in either a minor or severe way. i know im a little vague and i apologise for such

Well my duduction is that a person logged on to the site you reffered to as answerbag try to sound more intellegent then are are in reality.

Not any more than in an average society. The thing is, people from all different backgrounds voice their thoughts and opinions on here. But in real life, you tend to only see the same people every day who usually have work just like you do. There isn't much tie to explore with them the same things we get to enjoy here. SOme of those people would amaze you, too!

i dont think were that much smarter but if we take time out of the day to look at questions and answer them we will enrich the mind of so much information for example today i looked at a question that someone asked and i didnt know what the answer was so i looked at what other people put and now i know what that means so yeaaa i think we are learning something as we answer every question :)

I think we are a small part of the same society. although it sounds nice we are no more smarter because we group together then any other group. I feel there are all different level of intelligence here as well as outside of answerbag. But we be soured to think we are the cream of the crop.
