If an employee works 2hrs a day for 7 consecutive days are they able to get overtime if this is their regular schedule. They don't work a 40 hour work week for us.

Hello, I have a question in regards to overtime pay and an odd work week. If an employee work say 40 hours from Mon-Thur, collecting 8 hours of overtime pay, then works Friday for 8 hours, should that be counted as overtime pay or regular time pay?

I work in Ca and I go to work Fri. from 11PM-7AM then after an 8 hour break I go back to work on Sat. from 3PM-11PM. But I still only work 40 hours a week. So should I be getting paid overtime or am I exempt because of the 8 hour break?
