Do you use terms like "Honestly" and "I won't lie to you" to start sentences? What do you think of people who do?

I don't, but I know some people who overuse the phrases. In fact, I find a lot of people who have their own adverbs, which they just love to use & abuse. I've encountered "honestly", "actually", "basically", "seriously" and many more. Honestly, it's so annoying.

I say "To be honest" quite a bit. Most of the time I don't even realize I'm doing it. I'm trying to stop. ^_^ My husband reminds me all the time how annoying it is. I figure, at least I'm not saying "it goes without saying" or something equally pointless. ^_^

hmm i used to say these word sometime, but i dont think that liar or dishonest ppls used these words, may b some ppls hv addiction

Well I gotta be honest, I do that. I know it could come across as dodgy & suspect, but without the benefit of tonal nuance ie communicating on the net, I'm actually trying to convey my sincerity!
