  • Yeah, it means that the infection most likely causes a blood vessel to rupture. I know that sounds horrible - a tiny vein most likely got rubbed to have a pinprick leak, most likely blood leaked out into the wax and the damaged vein has already sealed up. If it was more than a drop or two (in the scheme of things these are small drops compared to the amount of wax) it may be advisable to see a doctor soonish (like next day or two days down the road) to make certain that no other damage is being done. If you find that there is more blood over the next day or so, then seeing the doctor soon (like same day clinic). If blood is actually coming out of your ear, then go to the ER room. As for lots of ear infections in general - this usually means that something else is wrong - such as the drainage canal from ear to sinuses is deformed or clogged and 'stuff' is not allowed to leak down and out. Or that you have allergies which affect your sinuses which leads to 'clogging' that same tube or backs up into the ears - leading to ear infection. OR maybe there is gum disease which leads to infection spreading to sinuses and/or ears. It may be time to consider getting all of these (and more) checked and to bring up the blood each time you have an ear infection and see a doctor for treatment - this is kinda important for them to know in your history.
  • Great answer and I'll add to that, loose the dairy and check for other food sensitivities, these can often cause chronic sinus or ear problems. Also I will guess you have taken numerous rounds of antibiotics. It is important to restore you good bacteria with a enteric coated full spectrum Probiotic....single acidopholisis or active yogurt is not enough. Be well, Bob www.acuherbals.com
