  • Plateaus are probably the most frustrating things about dieting. I hit quite a few of them when I was trying to get my weight off. A lot of times, it's a matter of switching things up and trying something different. Eating a lot of the same things? Try some new recipes. If you're not exercising at all, try doing some. I hate exercise, but I like to walk so that's what I do. If you do exercise, try doing something different. The closer you get to your goal, it sometimes seems the slower you lose. But, you just have to stay positive and keep trying...don't give up! It took me almost 3 years, but I got to my Weight Watcher goal, and have lost a few more pounds since (down 80 lbs now).
  • This happens with most who first start working out...you loose body weight because you are loosing fat from your body but as you do this, you are building mussel tissue...since mussel tissue is heavier than fat you regain a certain amount of weight then it levels out usually a little lower than you weighed before you started working out.
  • If you are not already doing so, eat 5-6 small meals a day, about one meal every three hours. This evens out your blood sugar, keeps your body steadily fueled and encourages fat burning. Drink your water, which is required for fat loss. Eat more and exercise more. It is much healthier and the body responds much better to burning extra weight off as opposed to starving it off. Change your exercise routine. Try fasted morning cardio or add an extra workout. Change your PM carb eating habits. Eat fibrous carbs (veggies and fruits) in the afternoon/evening and save the starchy carbs (bread, rice, pasta, crackers) for earlier in the day.
  • Eat a little bit less....
  • 8-9-2017 Here is something I just ran across. It looks like it has been carefully researched, which is somewhat unusual in this subject. http://www.precisionnutrition.com/intermittent-fasting And here is the source of that link, where you can find more information about exercising: http://www.artofmanliness.com/
