Alanis Morissette and The Barenaked Ladies She did all of her stuff from Jagged Little Pill to So Called Chaos. Yeah, the BNL put on a show that put Alanis's to shame. She came out on stage and sang. They came out on stage and PERFORMED.

I went to see Eric Clapton in Manchester in May this year. More recently though I went to the Virgin music festival where I saw loads of bands, the headlining band on the Sunday night was Radiohead, so I guess that is the last band I've seen live. They were top! EDIT: I saw Basement Jaxx last night, I got a free ticket last minute. Woo Hoo!!

Lou Rawls, right before he got arrested at a hotel here for domestic abuse! I think that was summer of 2005. Edit to Stableboy: I just looked it up and boy was I off, it was Feb of 2003. Time flies. He died in January 2006. http://ads-rm.looksmart.com/imp?z=6&Z=728x90&s=42075&t=3

My beloved, as much as I love her, dragged me to "The 18 Tenors" or something like that. A bunch of pretty boys strutting around in an overproduced cloud of filmy silver and satin, overbelting wall-of-puff "classics" like My Way. They also charmed us with self-serving "spontaneous" personal stories and light-hearted humor between numbers. Its a tribute to my intestinal fortitude that the preceding Italian meal wasn't rejected by my body. She's lovely, but next time *I* get to pick the music.
-

Michael Jackson when his concerts were good. It was on his Dangerous tour, at Roundhay Park in Leeds. Awesome. I had the chance to go see James Brown at Leeds uni but unfortunately I was away the weekend SCUBA diving, but I would have loved to see him. I also had the chance to see Westlife but unfortunately I had to lance some abcesses instead.

I don't really enjoy metal at all, yet I went to Gigantour in September with Megadath and Lamb of God. Man that was painful. I believe the last thing I actually wanted to see was TV on the Radio in Brooklyn.

The last proper big concert I went to was Tori Amos in Wolverhampton, just over a year ago. Incidently it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to- she's truly enchanting live. I've been to see a few punky-type bands in pubs since then, but no-one you'd have heard of probably!
-
The last concert i went to see was in the summer of 06 it was Posison, and before that Motley Crue. I guess you can say I like the 80s.

Trio Mediaeval-they're a female group from Norway that specializes in polyphonic medieval music from England and France, contemporary works and Norwegian medieval ballads and songs. It was alright...I fear for their vocal folds. All that straight-tone singing is bound to give them nodes.
-
Yesterday I went to the Buzz Bakesale, which was absolutely exhausting but SO worth it. They had some of my favorites there. I saw Kill Hannah, 30 Seconds to Mars, My Chemical Romance, Hawthorne Heights, Taking Back Sunday, Papa Roach, Reel Big Fish, Sugarcult, Flyleaf, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Anberlin, Buckcherry, One, Three Days Grace, and Cartel. The best shows were 30 Seconds to Mars, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Hawthorne Heights, and Kill Hannah. I got to meet My Chemical Romance and got their autographs =D! Those guys are actually really nice people, despite what some people say. But probably the highlight of the day was that I got to hug Jared Leto, the lead singer/guitarist of 30 Seconds to Mars, as he was running around the crowd singing "The Kill". Amazing. And I got the best pictures. I'll try and post some soon.

Little Feat at the Patrick Gym UVM Burlington Vermont 1989. The best seven member band I have ever seen. Unsurpassed musicianship. The only band I have ever seen who can play so tight, and sound so loose and relaxed at the same time. Here's one from 75 that you have to go to youtube to watch: I reccomend hitting the "back" button on the player and allowing the whole thing to load before you try to play. These were the best quality I could find. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEOlTZGuLKM (embedding of this one is blocked) Here's a couple more:

I used to go to a lot of concerts a year, but since Jerry Garcia died and I moved to a small city, it's a lot harder to travel to see anyone. Last show I went to was a music fest called Langerado held down near Ft. Lauderdale. I saw Dark Star Orchestra (awesome set!), R.E.M., Beastie Boys, Phil Lesh & Friends, Mickey Hart, and many others. I'm hoping Ratdog gets close to my area so I can check them out as the last show as amazing, and I'll probably drag my butt to Atlanta to see Phil & Friends with The Black Crows in October.
