Those who hit and run are cowards. Those who hit and stay to face the consequences are honorable. Which group is larger and why?

You're reading Have you ever been in a one-vehicle accident? Multi-vehicle? Was your vehicle drivable, or did it have to be hauled away?

He probably lost control from driving so fast, and overcorrected, which looked like he "swerved to hit you rather than miss you". Glad no one was hurt. (Now-a-days, don't they charge people for driving too fast for weather conditions?) Ironic about the location, though! LOL
Thanks, Sadie ;-)

It made me so mad. He had a mentally ill person with him, who got out clapping saying it's your fault repeatedly. The guy who hit me walked over to my car, and in a smart *ss tone asked if we were ok, then walked to the front of the car and called one of his police buddies. I asked him politely if i could use his phone to call my mom but he turned his nose up and walked away. I was 15 w/ a learner's permit and i was scared to death. The guy convinced the officer that it was my fault (which it would not have been, and you could clearly see that)but my mom talked him out of it.

If your mom was able to convince the cop that it wasn't your fault, he must have hit you in the lane you would have had to cross to make the left turn. My guess is, then, that he was 1) showing off for his friend, or 2) REALLY wanted to get a new car - On YOUR insurance. Jerk. :-P

well it really would have been his fault. It was more in a neighborhood where the road isn't marked, but still. Here is a picture of it. He hit me, then he backed up, so he was able to convince his police friend it was my fault, and my mom convinced him otherwise.
