Anybody realize that everybody on Family Guy hears what Stewie says except Lois and Peter? Why is that?

Not true, none of the main human cast understands him, there is one episode however when the family is trapped in their own panic room which is flooding and Peter says he agrees with Stewie. The theme of a baby or animal talking and the humans/adults not understanding is nothing new just look at Rugrats, the babies could tal to one another and Angelica and Susie, but not the adults, likewise Angelica and Susie could talk to both babies and adults.
