Do artificial sweeteners cause a bad insulin response?

    Not that I know of. I was told to use artificial sweeteners rather than sugar. Now, apparently there was a study that it CAN make you hungrier, but I've been using them for years and have NOT had a single doctor tell me not to for any reason.

    Weight gain can be a issue... With any sugars.. and Insulin.. thats what my doc told me anyway!

    I dont think it can affect your insulin in anyway but there are said to be side effects from sweetners. I use a Fructose based sugar instead - I guess to be on the safe side. I have not had any problems as yet with sugars that arent the normal kind. Good luck ith dealing with Diabetes.. Its a big boat with a lot of people in it.. I've joined the journey recently.
