  • Ignore it? Potato chips arnt very good anyway, but there are other things like chips, crispy mini's are pretty good, you could also eat fruit and drink alot of water, and snaking during the day (making sure its healthy) is a good way to keep your metabolism working
  • Just because you think that you overweight doesnt mean that you should maintain a diet. You should always maintain a diet even if you are not overweight and a special diet for when you want to loose pounds quickly. Junk food is totally unhealthy, and you should tell ur honey that from now on both of you are gonna eat healthy! It would be very useful for the both of you! If you are interested i can give you some worthy diets! good luck
  • Well, vegetables are healthier for you than potato chips. Maybe he's just teasing you.
  • Ask hubby if he wants to be a widower? Once you get used to eating veggies, they actually taste better than chips. Just don't put a lot of dip or dressing on them. I got really into eating sugar snap peas last spring. They are great.
  • If you hate vegetables, maybe, but otherwise what is it his business? If you were chowing down potato chips after the doctor told you not to, that'd be his business as your husband. If you're choosing to eat more healthily, it's crazy that he thinks you shouldn't.
  • Your husband just wants you to stay heavy so no other men look at you. Let him eat all the chips he wants. I love veggies as snack and they are good for you.
  • Your husband is crazy not you.
  • Maybe he needs to attend some nutrition classes, he doesn't seem to have a very good grasp of how dangerous chips really are for everyone, not just overweight.
  • Potato chips are bad bad bad. They are salty, they are fried, and contrary to popular belief potato does NOT count as one of your five a day vegetables to reduce the risk of things like heart disease - not unless you eat the skin of the potato, anyway, because that's where 90% of the vitamins are. I'm sorry he thinks you are crazy. I don't. Good for you!
  • Darlin'...that's NOT crazy, that's just common sense! Good for you! Perhaps your husband feels threatened, many men do, maybe he wonders why you feel the need to lose weight. Just explain to him it's all about YOUR health, that you're not getting in shape so you can go out on the prowl! LOL! Men are very simple creatures (God love 'em) just reassure him, he'll be fine!
  • You go for it girl! good luck to yoy, your doing the right thing, there are far to many people trying to hold their partners back! Carry on you will see your not crazy but a very sensible lady!
  • You're not crazy , well done! Keep it up and take no notice of your hubby. He should be backing you up and giving you support ;)
