People generally like me but sometimes, I rub people the wrong way when I speak my mind because there are things (values, beliefs, parenting, etc.) that I strongly believe in and at times (depending on what year/decade it is), my beliefs, which have not changed in years, aren't the most popular. Of course, there were a couple of times that women didn't like me for no other reason than feeling intimidated or threatened because they really didn't give me a chance.

This was not meant to hurt a soul, in fact it was to help people. A direct query like this often ellicits responses, one wouldn't normally receive if you did it the pragmatic way: Do you think people like you; Do you think you are unhappy?, etc. No one wants to think themselves in a negative fashion. But, if you let them assume it is a truism to begin with, you can reach people not normally reachable. Someone not unhappy or feeling dislikes will just generally ignore the question or statement. If not, we can all help, and get them the help they may truly need by referring them to appropriate professionals.

People usually like me, unless I don't like them and act kind of rude to them. Doesn't happen often, but it does on occasion.
