When writing about our company, I always write 'ABC is a UK IT provider'. Therefore should I say - ' Who is ABC?' or 'Who are ABC?'. If it's 'Who are ABC?, then should I be writing 'ABC are a UK IT provider'.

The difference you highlight is one that is treated differently on each side of the Atlantic. North Americans would more naturally write 'who is ABC' while those in the UK and Ireland would more naturally write 'who are ABC'. As for grammar rules, they are different in different places, akin to differences in spelling.
