  • I've not heard of people being hypnotised for insomnia, so I can't comment on it. Sedatives will work, but I wouldn't recommend them for long term use. Many people become reliant on them, which in the long term isn't a good thing. Chamomile tea, will relax you. Try drinking that before you go to bed. It tastes awful but it works. Also if you drink it often you'll acquire a taste for it.
