Help answer this question below.

One of the kittens looks completely different than the rest. It is black with little stripes of either yellow or gray. The rest are gray and white like the mom. Also it is smaller. Could this one be a different breed than the rest of the litter?

    Unless your breeding pedigree kittens, it's either that odd kitten has a different father from the rest of the litter as cats are superfecund http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superfecundation

    or it's genetic throwback i.e. one of it's ancestors had that coloration.

    No, it's not a different breed, just a different colour, and it's completely normal for a litter of kittens to have different colouring and markings.
