1987 dodge caravan, 2.6 liter moter, engine died while going down the road,engine is getting fuel and does have spark going to # 1 cylinder but will not start, what else could be the problem

    check timing belt to make sure camshaft is turning then check module and rotor or cap for oxidation or could be hall effect in distributor for output signal

    You say engine is getting fuel. Is it getting correct fuel pressure? A weak fuel pump, or plugged filter will cause the symptom you describe. Pulling a fuel line may show fuel flow, but if fuel isn't delivered at the proper pressure, the injectors won't operate correctly. Suggest you test the fuel system with an accurate pressure gauge.
