  • No 16 is still to young to even be "ready" I was 15 when I started, later I got pregnant but lost the baby. You are not ready until you know you can support yourself and a baby because it can happen.
  • If you feel you are ready then why not? Its a decision only you can make.
  • The key part to this question is "if you are ready". Ready meaning not only you want to do it, but ready for the consequences if something goes wrong. I guess if you are truly ready, it's fine.
  • I think everyone is ready at different ages. I had sex at 15 but I was totally prepared for it. I was responcible. I think if you feel you are responcible enough, know enough about sex and are protected against STI's and pregnancy in a loving relationship then go for it. That said though, 13 year olds having sex makes me feel sick. I don't think it should be thought about until at least 15-16 as by then you are more mature.
  • I lost mine at 16... later I wished I hadn't. I lost a bit of my innocence that day. I'd say, just enjoy your childhood! It's hard enough to be a teen, why add the complications that sex can bring?
  • If you have to ask, then you're not ready. When you're ready, you'll know age doesn't matter. Understanding the possible consequences of your actions and being equipped to handle those consequences means you're ready. Most 16 year-old girls aren't ready. But many 26 year-old and 36 year-old girls aren't ready, either. Good luck!
