That's a good question. I usually am very confident, but it was never the case when I was younger. I go out of my way to never be arrogant... And there is a fine line. It took around 25 - 30 years of varied life experiences to gain this confidence, but it all boils down to what I've learned: "They aren't going to cook me and eat me."

I'm good at some things and lousy at some things. If I'm in an environment being asked to do something I don't do well, how could I be confident? If I'm doing something I know how to do, then I just do it. I don't feel confident, I just do it without thinking about being confident or not! :)
