Is this a self-esteem issue? If so, I understand how it feels in a way. People care a about you so it's normal for even ex's to hang around if they've been good friends with you in the past before you went out. :)

I’ve been there. When I’d been married for ten months, my parents forwarded a package to me, from my ex-girlfriend. It was a box filled with all the letters I’d ever sent her, with a note saying she was finally over me. My wife was like, “You’d better be!” ;-)

I have an ex who is, thankfully, hundreds of miles away. I really want nothing to do with my ex, who was a liar, cheater and could not commit. That's why I ended things. And yet my ex still wants to be friends. I won't answer calls or return calls...we only talk if I neglect to check caller I.D. I guess I'm too nice to say "f**k off!"

No I don't. He would only be in my life if I chose to have him there, so I wouldn't have to wonder why he was there! :)
