Now that i have bought one and know a little more, I would look one with a solid roof, i.e. fiberglass cap or something like it, the biggest problem I have found with them is roof leaks due to flexing, etc.

Check out the most expensive stuff first, like the motor, transmission, furnace and generator. Everything else can be repaired, When buying a used vehicle you should be sure and have at least a grand left over to put into it for all those little things that can and will go wrong as soon as you get it on the road.

Look in all the little storage places to be sure no one is living in them.

I've bought three and sold two so I know what I've looked for and what others have looked for in mine. Major thing is roof leaks, especially if it's not a fiberglass RV. Then how it runs and what condition the tires are in. If it has been parked for most of it's life, those tires will not get worn but they might be very cracked and old. It's expensive to buy all new tires.
