  • Great question. I've done this before. I understand the uncertainties and fears involved. I'm sorry if some of this sounds cliched but it's true. Nothing is certain in life, especially when it concerns the future. Think about staying where you are now and how it will make you feel, that may give you an extra push to make the move. Remember that it doesn't happen overnight. Research before you move, with things like jobs, apartments, neighbourhoods, etc. Before I moved to a bigger city I'd sometimes have mini panic attacks thinking 'what if what if', and all the things that were uncertain. But my ansty-ness to get away and spread my wings gave me the needed kick in the behind. I just kept thinking of how miserable I'd be if I stayed (that's at that time, it's not like that anymore, but some people just need to go and get it out of their system). Take it day by day when you get there. Although you have to do a certain amount of planning, let things happen as well, be open minded to what can happen for you.
