My sister and her boyfriend--well, fiance--started dating in middle school and have been separated from eachother a few times because of her family (she's my half sister). They're in their last year of college and are getting married in August. So, I'm guessing they've been together for around ten years? Anyway, yes, it is very important that you both have finished school and are financially stable before getting married. That's one of the top reasons why a lot of marriages fail; they fight about money, bills, taxes, etc. Also, after you're out of college you'll have more time together. That's just a plus! :) Think of it this way: Once you're out of school you'll have a better-paying job and won't have to fight like a lot of other newly married couples, which could possibly tear those 4.5 years apart fast.

Speaking from experience, you should wait. My now ex-fiance and I started dating at 17. We became engaged at 20 and separated at 23. People change as they get older, some in good ways, others in not so good ones. Good luck to you, but take your time!!
