my opinion: DE .50 or .45, rifled barrel; or a Colt .45, SAA for more challenge; still rifle the barrel- the range is important why: these are quality guns (withstood the test of time), that pack a lot of power, the rifled barrel will improve range/accuracy. maybe get a long barrel version if such exists- long barrel= increased sight radius = increased accuracy some reading: http://www.chuckhawks.com/handgun_hunting.htm
