In general, people won't probably mind changing your name, and some don't even care if you do. A disadvantage however is that changing your name changes your physical identity, meaning that it might become more difficult for others to recognize you at first.

Sure, but I was confused a few minutes ago when I aw someone named, "QueenR" on my friends list and wondered, "Now, who the heck is she? QueenR? Do I know her? Well, yeah, OK, she's on my friends list." and lo and behold, I looked at your submissions and found this question. AB should furnish "Change of User Name" packets, like the "Change of Address" kits from the Postal Service, LOL.

It is entirely up to you but it is becoming so confusing trying to keep up with all the name changes and avatars. I have trouble keeping track of ME.
