The highest frequencies humans can hear is about 20,000 Hz. what is the wavelenght of sound in air at this frequency? What is the wavelenght for the lowest sounds we can hear, about 20 Hz?

    The length of a soundwave at 20Hz is 56.26 ft.
    The length of a soundwave at 20Khz is 0.67 inch.

    What's the frequency of the sound in question?
    How do I determine the wavelength of said sound travelling through said medium? It's right there in your text book.

    sound travels at 380m/s or 1050ft/s in air.
    The general expression is c = fw where c is the speed of sound, f is the frequency and w is the wavelength.
