That has not been my experience..that's why in general I prefer the company of men. They are not competitive..they don't form "cliques"..they don't require that you agree with them about everything...they don't take it personally when you don't see eye-to-eye about some things. They don't harbor grudges..they don't believe in the "bandwagon" theory of life..wherein, if one person doesn't like you she gathers all her friends to join her bandwagon. Perhaps my experience is unique. I'm not saying all women are like that....it's just what I've experienced in my life. There are some very nice women whom I've met and who have been/are my friends..then there are those who are really mean and love to engage in vendettas. Why? I wish I knew! :)

Woman are not nicer than men ...but we do feel worse about being "mean" or "bitchy" to others than men do. That's because many of us are taught to be nice little girls, which ultimately tells us that we must allow others to abuse us instead of standing up for ourselves. In the workplace A man is a "hard ass" but he still gets to go play Golf on Sunday with the Guys, but a Woman that acted the same way would be a Bitch and be hated by her colleagues. So, woman are constantly struggling with how nice they should be, and often they fail to find the right balance.
