They always got into predicaments where they could barely touch each other, but always managed to. I remember one episode where they couldn`t reach each other so that annoying monkey put his nose inbetween their fingers and they changed that way. No, Zan and Jayna are Alien siblings from the planet Exxor (also spelled Exor) who were being informally trained by the superheroes. Unlike their predecessors, Wendy Harris and Marvin White, this pair was able to participate in combat with abilities of their own. Their powers were activated when the twins touched each other and spoke the words "Wonder Twin powers, activate!". (In the comics, it was revealed that this phrase was unnecessary, just a habit of theirs.) As they were about to transform, they would each announce their intended form. For example, Zan would announce, "Form of a glacier!" the point of these characters was to give the young viewers a point of entry to the show. if you couldn't imagine being superman/wonder woman/ etc, you could be young heroes working with them. also as naive aliens it made sense for things to be explained to the viewers by explaining to them.
