I just found out I have breast cancer i'm only 20 they say I can lose my breast or do extensive chemo I just don't want to lose my breast or my hair (I know it's silly) I always thought I was to young to worry about this does any one relate?

Yes, I went into a surgery when I was 25 with the knowledge that I might or might not come out with both breasts. I was very scary. In those days they didn't know ahead of time whether it was cancer or not. When I had a spot detected a few years ago, when I was around 58, they were able to take a biopsy in advance of the surgery, and I knew ahead of time that it wouldn't be too serious. They just removed the affected tissue.

Yes. I am 23 and just diagnosed with breast cancer. I am so afraid that I will have to loose one or both of my breast. If there is a way to keep them, I will find out.....:) Oh and the hair, oh gosh we are too young for this! Our hair is important in this stage of our lives, but whatever it takes to cure us, let so be it.
