If you left home before age 18, how did you support yourself?

Ok this is how it went for my parents: My mom left home like the day she turned 18 and she moved into an apartment with her best friend, who was also 18. Since she had a job at 16, she had all kinds of money saved up and she used that to pay for bills and go to school for a while. When my dad turned 18, who moved in with my mom. At this point, my dad is living with my mom and my mom dropped out of college cause she couldn't afford it. My dad knocked up my mom and they were like "Oh god, how are we gunna pay for this!?" and then my dad joined the military.

I graduated high school a year early and got accepted into Tennessee Tech University (which is where I still am). My boyfriend asked me to marry him, and of course I said yes. We got married on July 26th of 2008...he had just turned 18 on July 20th..I didn't turn 18 until Feb. 5th. We have went to school and supported ourselves just fine. It is possible..Just takes hard work and determination.
