How do you SMELL a cell phone!!! lol No, seriously I mean of course they can smell weed and whatnot, but a PHONE?! Was this in the news?? I gotta look this up. Thanks holeinthewoods!

yeah it is cool, it might make the prisons safer, then again prisoners will find a way to sneak the cellphones in.

The average cell phone in prison cost 500.00 per unit. This unit is leased all night to other prisoners and recharged during the day this is because of free minutes at night. As many as 3000 to 5000 calls per month on the average cell in prison. The calls are used to commit crimes, do background checks on Correctional Officers, threaten Officers and families at home, communicate hits between cell blocks, organize riots and communicate with other prisons. To answer the question "They will find a way to get another one". Well at least it cost them money they don't have to purchase another that they might lose quickly to a sniff dog. Also tougher laws are being passed to make having a cell a major Felony and 40 year sentence. Several states have already passed such laws. C/O Pendleton Indiana Reformatory
