A player touches the net after he hits a winner and the ball is out of play. Does he still get the point?

    We will assumed when you someone hits a winner, that the point is over. No player (or his/her equipment) is allowed to touch the net while the point is in progress. To do so, is to forfeit the point. Hypothetically, a person could claim the point, even if the ball is out of reach from the other player(s), if the net is touched before the point officially ends, regardless of where the ball is in play. Once the net is touched, the play and point is over, with the offending party losing the point.

    If he touches the net while making the shot he would lose the point. Or if his impetus carries him into the net after making the shot.

    the ball is "out of play" after it bounces twice or hits a permanent fixture (such as fence). If the net is touched after "out of play" happens then he gets the point. If not, point to opponent.
