  • First Question: It isn't mandatory that you have one. You can hook an Ethernet cable directly from the DSL modem straight to the back of your PS2. Second Question: Once everything is all hooked up you must have a start-up disk. It normally comes with the PS2 at the time of purchase. Put the disk in and do what it tells you to do and at the end save the configuration to a memory card. Now when you play a game online you must use the memory card that has the online configuration saved to it. Third Question: I'm not really sure. I only play through my tv. I haven't tried to play through my monitor. Hope this helps.
