lots can. a firewire has a specific type of end, sort of a rectangle with a sort of u shape on one side. my tv, computer, and camera all have one. you can also buy a firewire 1394 cable that has a usb port on the other side. that way, i can hook up my tv to look at pictures from my computer or camera.

My buddy uses it for all his audio/video recording gear. He says it's better. I have no idea why.

Aside from computers, you'll see many video cameras and external hard drives with Firewire. My iPod also came with Firewire, at that time I think a USB cable for iPod was an optional accessory. Firewire performs much better than USB2, unfortunately it just hasn't been as widely accepted as it's more expensive. People with a real need for speed can use Firewire800 (twice as fast as normal Firewire), I've only seen these connectors on external hard drives.
