  • Yes, and I hope others can do the same with me. (My parents were the king and queen of idle threats, so I’m particularly aware of this fault, especially when I’m talking to my kids.)
  • I do, but don't expect them to keep it.
  • Absolutely, if you cant stand by your word, you cant be trusted.
  • A person (regardless of their job, money or social status) is only as good as their word. In my opinion, if you don't keep your word (not you Rick) you're garbage
  • It's not that I'm pessimistic, or that I don't trust people important to me, I suppose I just believe in free will, and I know that people don't always tell the truth for many different reasons.
  • I like it if people do what they say they are going to do..however, sometimes people promise something in good faith and may be unable to keep their promise...sometimes they mean well, but the execution is lacking. So I cut them some slack. I'm harder on myself. That's why I don't promise anyone anything unless I'm certain I can keep that promise! :)
  • way too often and I always end up disappointed

  • Nope. I am used to being disappointed so better to let it go and if they come through, win win... I however, think it is very important to hold myself to a higher standard.
